Justin was named the official race ambassador and race starter for the 33rd Annual Los Angeles Marathon. He was incredibly honored to be the first ever Dodger to kick off this historical event. JTF was also named an official charity of the event!
We would like to take a moment to recognize our top marathon fundraisers.
Congratulations to our 'Run with JTF' team:
Matt “Money” Smith - Half Marathon - 1:54:11 (17th place!)
Kourtney Turner - Half Marathon - 2:48:43
Christie Dishner - Half Marathon - 2:48:43
Dee Murthy - Full Marathon - 4:41:35 (Grand Runners!)
Gabriel Ortega - Full Marathon - 4:42:12
Valerie Reyes - Full Marathon - 6:26:42 (Injury and all!)
In addition to the honor of being named the official race ambassador, we were overwhelmed by the support of our runners, donors, and supporters.
The city of Los Angeles really came together to show why we are the greatest city in the world. From the athletes, volunteers, men & women in uniform and race organizers, everyone did an outstanding job to make this all possible. We are already looking forward to next year's event!
Check out this video from Justin's day at the 2018 Skechers Los Angeles Marathon. Kicking off at Dodger Stadium, he sent 24,000 eager runners on their 26.2 mile journey to the Santa Monica Pier.
Follow along as he supports these incredible athletes and cheers his wife Kourtney to her first ever half-marathon finish!
