Welcome to the 2nd annual Turner Trot 5K Run/Walk Presented by the Justin Turner Foundation on Sunday, September 4th, 2022. Thank you to all our runners and sponsors for your support as we go the distance for homeless veterans, children and those in need. Virtual registration is still open, invite your friends to join you from anywhere!
This year’s Turner Trot 5K will begin at historic Dodger Stadium & continue onto Sunset Boulevard along iconic Echo Park Lake. The race will conclude with a Finisher Festival at the Dream Center with fun activations from sponsors and partners.

PARTICIPANT PACKET PICK-UP:
All runners receive an Exclusive Turner Trot 5K Tee, Dodgers Game Ticket, and Finisher Medal. Participants are required to pick up race packets during scheduled Packet Pick-Up hours only (unless signed up for the Virtual option). For those who did not register for the Virtual option, packets will NOT be mailed after the event.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
RACE DAY PARKING & SHUTTLES:
PARKING
All participants are required to park at Dodger Stadium for the start of the race. Parking is FREE and available for all participants. There is NO parking available at the finish line.
PLEASE NOTE: There will only be one (1) way to access the stadium on Race Day. Please use Stadium Way Exit via 5 FWY. You will be directed to enter via GATE C.
Enter GATE C ONLY on race day and you will be directed to park by stadium staff. Please arrive no later than 7:00am to insure an on-time start. No one will be allowed to start the race after 7:40am.
PLEASE NOTE: All Vehicles must be removed from Dodger Stadium no later than 11:00am on Race Day.
SHUTTLES
Complimentary one-way shuttle service will be provided from the finish line (Dream Center) back to Dodger Stadium, following the race. Shuttles will be running continuously from 8:15am to 10:30am. The last shuttle will leave the Dream Center at 10:30am.
Shuttles are for participants only. Friends and family members will not be allowed to ride the shuttles back to Dodger Stadium.
PLEASE NOTE: No Dogs or strollers will be allowed on the shuttles.
VIRTUAL RUNNERS:
If you registered as a Virtual Runner, you can run your 5K anywhere, at your own pace, and on your own time. Your packet will be mailed to the address on your registration 1-2 weeks AFTER race day. Your packet will include: Race Bib, Turner Trot Tee, Finisher Medal, and Dodger Game Ticket (if you selected to receive one during registration).
GEAR CHECK:
Gear Check will NOT be provided for this run. We ask that you leave any personal items and articles of warm up clothing in your vehicle. We suggest keeping identification on you at all times for safety purposes. There will be an assortment of sponsors and vendors at the finish line - please plan to bring a form of payment if you plan to shop at the finish line.
The Justin Turner Foundation is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. Please plan accordingly.
FINISHER FESTIVAL:
Our race this year will conclude with a spectacular Finisher Festival at the Dream Center. Celebrate crossing the finish line by stopping and checking out many of our sponsors and vendors. Be sure to bring a form of payment if you would like to make any purchases.
SPECTATORS:
Friends and family will be able to enjoy free parking at the start line (Dodger Stadium) but all vehicles will need to be removed immediately after the start of the race. Please note that limited parking is available near or around the Dream Center and not all vehicles will be accommodated. Limited street parking only.
DREAM CENTER:
Our Finisher Festival this year will be held at the Dream Center. The Dream Center serves as a resource center focused on providing support to those affected by homelessness, hunger, and the lack of education through residential and community outreach programs. WATER STATION:
There will be one water station on the 5K course route. Runners are encouraged to run with their own water if you need additional hydration on course.

There are no Overall or Age Divisional Awards for the Turner Trot.

If you registered as a Virtual Runner, you can run your 5K anywhere, at your own pace, and on your own time. Your packet will be mailed to the address on your registration up to 2 weeks AFTER race day. Your packet will include the following: Bib #, Turner Trot Shirt and Finisher Medal. Your packets WILL NOT be available during the above scheduled packet pick-up hours. Further, if you are a registered Virtual Runner, we cannot change your registration to be physically present on race day.
START LINE & WAVE START:
A Wave Start will be incorporated for the 5K Run. Starting at 7:30am, each wave will take approximately 2 minutes. Please line up according to your pace.

The Turner Trot is a 5K Fun Run taking place on Sunday September 4, 2022 and benefitting the Justin Turner Foundation's mission in Los Angeles.
The Start Line will be at Dodger Stadium at 1000 Vin Scully Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012 and the Finish Line will be at the Dream Center in downtown Los Angeles located at 2301 Bellevue Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90026.

The course will be 5k (3.1 mile).
We will be measuring the course for accuracy but this is not a USATF Certified course. This in-person event is not timed.
Yes. Starting at 7:30am, each wave will take approx. 2 mins. Please line up according to your pace.
We are asking for all participants to finish by 9:00am which is an approx. 20min/mile pace.
Registration for the 2022 Turner Trot, will close on Friday, Sept 2nd, 2022 at 7pm or if the maximum combined field of participants has been reached. Late registration will be available at Packet Pick-Up and on Race Day ONLY if the run has not already sold out.
Packet pick up will be provided Saturday September 3rd at the Dream Center between 12 pm - 4 pm and on Race Day at Dodger Stadium between 5:30am-7:15am.
You MUST bring a valid photo ID to receive your packet.
Your packet will include your bib and 2022 Turner Trot Shirt.
Lost or forgotten bibs will not be replaced if picked up the day before.
There will be one aid station with water on the 5K race course and additional aid stations and water at the Finish Line. There will be restrooms available near the start and finish line and along the course route at the water station.
Gear check will NOT be provided for this run. Free parking will be available so we ask that you leave any personal items and articles of warm-up clothing in your vehicle. We suggest keeping identification on you at all times for safety purposes as well as a credit/debit card for any finisher festival purchases.
Unfortunately, strollers are not permitted on the course. We encourage family/friends to meet you at the finisher festival at the Dream Center.
YES. Up until August 15th 2022 you may request to defer your registration until 2023 with a doctor’s note to prove medical need. You must provide a copy of your doctor's note to our Customer Service team prior to August 15th. A deferral under any other circumstance will NOT be accepted.
NO. All participants are required to pick up their own packet during scheduled Packet Pick-Up hours. Individuals will NOT be able to pick up packets on behalf of others. This includes friends and family members. Only parents may pick up packets for their children under the age of 18. There will be no exceptions made to these rules. Please plan accordingly.
NO. Each participant must have his/her own registration to participate in the run. In the event of an emergency, race officials must have emergency contact information on hand, therefore you are NOT allowed to participate using someone else’s registration. There are NO exceptions to this policy.
The Turner Trot, like many other races, has a long-standing policy that does NOT provide any refunds. We apologize for any inconvenience. All race entries for the Turner Trot are non-transferable under any and all circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The Turner Trot will make every effort to provide a run shirt in the size runners request when registering. Please understand that we order the shirts months in advance and we estimate the sizes based on current registration. Please note there are unisex, women & youth sizes. These shirts are for participants only and will not be sold to the general public. If you would like to exchange t-shirt sizes, you can try to do so if there are extra shirts on race morning.
YES. All registered participants will receive a finisher medal upon crossing the finish line. If you do not participate in the race for any reason, your medal WILL NOT be mailed to you.
There are no Overall or Age Divisional Awards for the Turner Trot.
The Finisher Festival at the Dream Center will be open from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. The last shuttle to parking at Dodger Stadium will depart at 10:30 am.
FREE parking will be available at Dodger Stadium for the start of the race. Once you have finished your race, there will be FREE shuttles available at the Dream Center that will bring you have to Dodger Stadium to pick up your vehicle.

As a Virtual Runner you are given the opportunity to participate in the event remotely & still receive your Shirt and Finisher Medal.
Sign up as a Virtual Runner via our registration page and go for a run on race day wherever you are located. Your well-deserved Shirt, Finisher Medal, will be mailed to you approximately two (2) weeks AFTER race day.
Virtual Runners can run anywhere in the world, however the Virtual Runner registration fee only includes shipping of your Shirt, Finisher Medal, to an address located in the United States.
The Virtual Runner registration will close on September 2nd or until sold out. Once Virtual Runner registration is closed, you may NOT sign up to run virtually nor may you transfer to this option if you can no longer attend the event. If for some reason you are registered to be physically present to run the event and are unable to attend due to a last-minute conflict or emergency, we will NOT be able to mail you your race items. Note that all virtual runner materials, including t-shirt and medal will be sent after race day. You will NOT receive your materials prior to the race.
Anyone is eligible to register as a Virtual Runner.
Yes, but you must complete the switch PRIOR TO AUGUST 15TH. We will not be able to switch your race after that date.
No, Virtual Runners will NOT be allowed to switch to the live run on-site or pick up their items here as they will be shipped later.
